Upcoming events

Competition season may be over, but there are several exciting events coming up for the Panther Creek High School Band. From parades and concerts to band banquets and photo shoots, check out the details about all of the upcoming events for the band and for band parents as well.

First, a few reminders about the next few days:

November 28th:
Tuxedo delivery. The Savi rep will be outside the band room during 1st and 2nd periods and smart lunch.
Senior baby pictures due today, too!

November 29th: Market Insights Dinner for Panther Creek Band Parents. Click here for more details.

November 30th: SCRIP group order deadline. Order through your Scrip account.

Apex Holiday Parade & Picture Day
Saturday, December 1st

Individual pictures will be taken at school from Noon – 2:30 PM. The parade itinerary is 2:30 PM -7:15 PM. All band students will need to return to Panther Creek HS at the conclusion of the parade. If you have a special reason for leaving sooner please submit it to Mr. Robinson in writing at least 24 hours before the event. See the full schedule and information below.

Town of Cary Christmas Parade
Saturday, December 8th

The parade starts at 2PM in downtown Cary. The band’s schedule for the day will be shared soon.

Marching Band Banquet/Potluck

Another amazing marching season is in the books!  Time to celebrate!  The Marching Band Banquet/Potluck will be held on December 8th following the Cary Parade.  Times will be posted once we find out where the band will be positioned in the parade line-up.

Each family should bring a main dish and an additional item as listed by band section below:

Saxophones – SaladClarinets – Side Dish
Drum Majors/Flutes – Rolls/Chips
Trumpets/Percussion – Desserts
Low Brass/Color Guard – 2 liter drink

The social committee will provide tableware, condiments and salad dressings, coolers and ice. Please provide a serving spoon/fork and pre-cut anything that requires slicing or cutting prior to serving. After dinner there will be a short awards ceremony in the auditorium.  We look forward to seeing you and celebrating the hard work and accomplishments of the marching band students!

Winter Concerts
December 19 & 20

The winter concerts for all band students are coming up soon. Here’s the schedule:

Dec 19th Concert – Mass Band, 1st period Wind Symphony, all Jazz Ensembles
Dec 20th Concert – Concert Band, Wind Ensemble

For those students who ordered concert gowns and tuxedos through the band, they have been delivered and can be picked up in the band uniform room.
