Getting Involved!

Wondering how you can get more involved in the band program? The band boosters need volunteers to fill vacancies in the following areas. All of these positions can be held by an individual or preferably a two-person team. Please consider leading one of these committees.

Social Committee: The social committee is looking for a chairperson to manage three events per year. The Band Camp Parent Night Pot-Luck (last night of band camp) and Marching Band Banquet Pot-Luck (December 2016) and the End of the Year Band Banquet (May 2017). The chairperson would lead a group of volunteers to coordinate each of these events.

Website Administrator: You will receive training to learn how to make website updates as needed. This position can be done any time of day from the comfort of your home computer or your laptop if you're on the road.

PCI Committee: Program ad sales is looking for a shadow to work together on PCI 2017 who will take over the position in 2018.

PCIC (Panther Creek Indoor Competition) Chairperson: This position would lead a committee to organize a one-day indoor competition at Panther Creek High School in late February or early March. This event is a fundraiser for the band program. Initial planning will begin in December.

Color Guard Parent: This position is best for a parent or guardian of a guard member to assist with communication between staff and guard parents as well as other duties related to color guard activities.

Middle School Liaison: This volunteer would assist with communication between Panther Creek Band and Band Directors from feeder schools.

Other volunteer positions: Keep a lookout for signups throughout the year to help with any of these important volunteer areas: Chaperones, Pit/Prop, Band Camp, Fundraising, Alumni Activities, Uniforms, Board Committees, Spirit Wear, Data Entry, Panther Creek Invitational (PCI) and Panther Creek Indoor Competition (PCIC).
