Registration Reminder - 2nd payment due Aug 1
Don't let time get away from you. Make sure you complete the online registration process, then print and sign the documents, and mail them to the mailing address below. DCI Chaperone Volunteers (Saturday 7/30/16)
Parents/Guardians - If you plan to volunteer, the cost for a chaperone is $70. We leave early Saturday morning and return early Sunday morning. Please register/re-register as a volunteer this week at any Wake County Public School. Click for the Chaperone sign-up for the DCI Trip.

BAND CAMP 2016!!
Planning is underway for band camp starting July 25th! We have put together a letter that will hopefully answer your questions about what to bring, what to expect, and how to prepare for band camp. Click for more information, including volunteering opportunities - provide supplies, be a chaperone, or provide lunches or dinners for our staff.
Register for Volunteering at any Wake County School
The marching season is right around the corner and our first field trip is a little over a month away. If you are volunteering in any capacity with the band, you must register as a volunteer with the School System. You can start on Tuesday, July 5th at any Wake County public school. Click for a list of schools and front office phone numbers for their school hours.

Smart Music
Rookie Parents - those with students new to Marching Band - please see the link below for Smart Music Questions & Answers. Returning Parents - the new class for Smart Music has started - called PC Marching Band 2016-17. The music from the 2016 - 2017 show will be loaded soon.
DCI (Drum Corps International)
DCI (Drum Corps International) is not a marching band a s we know them. They consist of only two musical g roups, brass and percussion, as well as a color guard. Th ey achieve an incredible variety of sounds and dyna mics. Their marching designs and skills are incomparable to any thing you have ever seen. Even if you have seen th em on TV, it's just not the same as the impact of a live perf ormance. This performance will be the Southeastern Championships and will feature 15 of the best drum corps in the country. Please see the link below for the information to attend DCI on July 30, 2016.
Getting Involved! Volunteer Positions Available!
If you've been looking for an opportunity to get more involved in the band program, the band boosters need volunteers to fill vacancies in the following areas for the upcoming school year. These positions can be held by an individual or two-person team. Please consider leading one of these committees. Click for details.

2016-17 Band Registration Open
The form for the 2016-17 Band registration is now live. All Marching Band and Color Guard Students must complete an on-line registration, including returning students, in order to be eligible for participation in Band Camp. Please use the following instructions to access the online registration system, print and sign forms, and mail along with your first fair-share payment to the Band PO Box *BY JULY 1*.
